Choose your questions
Every assessment is a set of questions — coding, multiple-choice, or written — pulled from the built-in question library, written custom for your organization, or a mix of both. Custom coding tasks can be built around your own codebase, frameworks, and engineering standards, which is the closest thing to a real day-one task a candidate can complete.
Set weightage
Every question in an assessment gets a weightage — the percentage of the final score it contributes. All the weightages in an assessment must add up to exactly 100% before you can publish it; the dashboard shows a live total as you add and adjust questions, so you'll always know if you're under or over before you try to save.
How each question type is scored
- Coding— the share of test cases the submission passes, multiplied by the question's weightage.
- Multiple-choice— correct or incorrect, multiplied by the question's weightage.
- Written— scored manually by a reviewer, then multiplied by the question's weightage. It contributes zero until scored.
The final result is the sum of every weighted question score, recalculated automatically whenever a score changes — including after a written question is reviewed.
Decide on activity information and session locking
For real, scored assessments, you can configure which activity information is recorded — focus changes, clipboard use, connected displays, and running processes — and whether the session runs in a locked, kiosk-style window. Mock assessments skip this entirely.
Publish and invite
